There is a huge inventory of beer koozies in my house of all sorts of colors and we always give them away at the several parties that we host during the course of the years. But last winter, I came up with two new applications for these beer koozies. We live at the end of a street in a cul-de-sac in a fairly wooded area and the winters here can be pretty brutal. We also have a long winding driveway and at my age, I decided to retire from the snow shoveling chore and we have a young man that ploughs the snow with his pick up truck.

Because of the curves in the driveway, once the snow has fully covered it, it is very hard to know where all to turn to plough. So, to help him out, I stuck a few pieces of wood as stakes in the ground and covered their tops with fluorescent koozies, so the snowman can see where he is going. That kept him happy.

Then I turned around and saw my mail box with that old dinky flag that one could hardly see on a clear day let alone when there is a foot of snow on it and everywhere else. So I also stuck a fluorescent koozie on to my mail box flag, so I can see the mailbox clearly from my house to see if the mailman had already come and gone. Now all I need is some good checks in the mail; with my luck all I would probably find are more bills to pay.

Thus, as a result of necessity, I found two new uses for my fluorescent colored beer koozies.

Similarly, one side could say Obama and the other side McCain!

Thus since koozies have also become conversation pieces, they can also avoid conflicts and arguments by simply have the opposing viewpoint on their reverse!
